# Charades

Free online charades party game. Players join a room on their own phones; on
each turn one player acts out a word without speaking while the rest shout
guesses. Timer, automatic scoring and a final podium.

## FAQ

Q: How many players do you need? A: Two minimum, and the more the better: with 4 to 8 players rounds fly by and the scoreboard gets spicy.
Q: Do I need an account or an app? A: No. It runs in the phone's browser with no account and nothing to download. The host creates a room and shares a 4-letter code.
Q: How do I invite my friends to the room? A: Three ways: say the 4-letter code out loud, copy the invite link; it opens with the code pre-filled, so they just type their name, or tap "Show QR" and let them point their camera at it. Everything lives on the room-code card inside the lobby.
Q: How does scoring work? A: Every word your group guesses while you act scores you a point. Skipping costs nothing. There is a podium at the end.
Q: What are viral and country themes? A: Word decks built for your group: internet trends and memes in the viral decks, and local food, customs and icons in each country deck.
Q: Can I play with my own words? A: Yes: create your list inside the game, one word per line, and pick it as the round’s theme. Your group’s inside jokes make the best charades.
Q: Can we play remotely? A: Charades is best in the same room, but it works over a video call too: the actor performs to the camera.
Q: How long is a turn? A: 60 seconds by default. Everyone acts the same number of turns, so games stay fair and fast.
